House Republican budget priorities:
Funding education first…
Protect Public Safety
Protect The Most Vulnerable
· Developmentally Disabled
· Elderly
· Mental Health
· Children
Fund Education First:
· Fully fund levy equalization
· Fund a 180-day school year
· Maintain current funding for all-day kindergarten
· Fund education reforms and accountability
Protecting Public Safety:
· Criminals in prison STAY in prison
· Adequate community supervision for criminals
· New funding for gang violence prevention programs
· Funding for new equipment and safety initiatives for prison employees
Protecting the Most Vulnerable:
· Fully fund critical access hospitals
· Maintain funding for regional support networks
· Maintain funding for adult day care
· Maintain funding for supported employment programs within DD community
